NIAGARA FALLS—Two women were assaulted outside a store about 8 p.m. Friday at 19th and Niagara streets, police said. Police said a Niagara Street woman, 31, was attacked by three women after leaving the store. Her 27-year-old cousin, a Niagara Falls resident, tried to break up the fight and was punched in the face, police aded.

SANBORN — The Niagara Wheatfield School Board will decide on Wednesday what budget to submit to voters next month. The board has scheduled a special meeting for 7 p.m. to discuss how to trim the $61.7 million package that was rejected by voters on Tuesday. The goal is to reduce the proposed tax rate increase for 2012-13 to 5 percent or 7 percent— from 9.9 percent.
